General (Ret.) Lee, Pil Sup
AMCF President
December, 2002

Dear Brothers and Sisters in the AMCF family,

As we look forward to the birthday of our Lord of love who left the heavenly throne and came down to the earth in the form of a servant to save us, and as we prepare with bright hope for the year 2003 which God will permit us, I pray that the grace of God will flood you dear brothers and sisters, who are all one in Christ Jesus, scattered throughout the world.
I hope that the new year will be a beautiful year for all the family members of the AMCF glorifying God as we gladly endeavor to achieve the goal of seeing a mature and effective national MCF established in the armed forces of every nation of the world, toward the ultimate accomplishment of the mission given to the family of AMCF: the mission of bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to military men and women of every nation of the world.
The effective means for accomplishment this mission and achieving this goal are set forth in the AMCF manual which our partners of faith prayerfully selected and adequately set forth. As we start the God-given new year, I would like to consider with you several point for the work of God.
Praying: I promise that the family members of AMCF pray at noon time (12:00-13:00) everyday for the establishment of military Christian fellowships (MCFs) in countries where there are not any MCFs. There are 198 countries in the world today, and there are 78 countries where MCFs are already established. In 44 countries, contacts have been by AMCF, ACCTS and Accts MMI for the establishment of MCFs, and in the remaining 76 countries contacts are being attempted continually. If the brothers and sisters of the MCFs in the 78 countries pray at noon time every day, the Lord, who look down upon the earth at a glance, will hear the prayers of His people continuously for 24 hours a day.
In MCFs which have more than 120 members. I ask that one or more members begin praying for one individual country (a prayer method that the U.K. OCU started long ago, and that the MCFs of Guatemala and Korea have just started recently). In MCFs which have less than 120 members, one member can pray for more than one country. Of course, if would be better if national intercessory prayer teams are formed, as they are in the OCU of the U.K. As Moses' continuous prayer made possible the Israelites victories in the Rephidim campaign, our continuous prays today will be a sure way to lead our spiritual war to victory in this global village.
The 22nd of February has been designated as the 2003 AMCF Day of Prayer. As many national MCFs have already started, I hope more national MCFs will glorify God through special praising, intercessory prays, and fasting on this day. Also, I hope that the "pray and plan" process, which the former President General Laurece New so strongly emphasized, will be a route process for all the AMCF family in undertaking the work of God.
Reaching Out: God permitting, in 2003 I hope to meet all the regional vice president whom I have not met since my assumption of the AMCF presidency. I want to share the joy of being one in Christ Jesus with them, pray together, and exchange our opinion on the works that God wants to do through us in each region. I also hope that each national MCF will warmly receive any AMCF brothers and sisters who visit their nation, and so realize in action our motto, "all one in Christ Jesus," thereby pleasing our Heavenly Father.
Meeting Together: In the AMCF manual, it is set forth that world-wide, regional, and sub-regional conferences are arranged periodically by national MCFs for the AMCF. While the world conference is held every ten years, and regional and sub-regional conferences are as the situation of each region allows, I hope that each region will hold conferences periodically. The brothers and sisters of each region can pray for the same purpose of holding the conference continually; thereby they will become "all one in Christ Jesus" and please the Lord. We believe that our Lord will be please and be with us when two or three are gathered together in His Name as He promised. He is also with us when many more are gathered in His Name. We might start, to extent possible, with gatherings in small numbers of brothers and sisters of countries which are near each other. It is written in Bible, "Your beginning will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be" (Job 8:7).
I hope that the 2004 AMCF Conference, to be held in Seoul, Korea 14 through 18 September 2004, will be prepared with the prayers of all the family of AMCF in 2003. I believe that it will be a golden opportunity given by our Lord for us to reach the military men and women of every country of the world with the gospel, as commanded by our Lord. Let us prayerfully try our best to bring the delegates of all the countries of the world, even the countries with no MCFs established, to the World Conference.
Communicating: I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and respect to the brothers and sisters of ACCTS, who so meticulously compile and publish the AMCF newsletter. I hope that the national MCFs will provide them with pertinent information to help them do this precious works. Also, I hope that the newsletter will be published in more languages than one language as it is at the present, so that it will be more widely read. It is also hoped that the AMCF family members will freely and frequently visit the AMCF homepage (www.amcf-int.org) for up-to-date information. I hope that the year 2003 will be a blessed year for the AMCF family to realize that we are "all one in Christ Jesus", and that we will utilize the God-given instrument of e-mail systems to communicate, as the former president General Laurence New proposed over and over again.
Teaching and Encouraging: I hope appreciate the teaching and encouraging, as the ministry conducted by ACCTS, Acct MMI, and other missionary organizations which are engaged in military ministry. I hope that the national MCFs and AMCF regions will fully utilize the talents and capabilities givens by God to the members of military ministry organizations, so that such talents and capabilities may not be kept in dead storage.
Cooperating: It is hope that FCMMs (Fellowship of Christian Military Ministries) will be formed in more countries of the world. It is presently in the United States and Australia. Furthermore, as Cal Dunlap of ACCTS has proposed, I hope that the forming of a world-wide fellowship of Christian military ministries will be seriously discussed. I think it is realizing our motto, "all one in Christ Jesus." Remembering the warning of our Lord, "Behold! I am coming soon!" (Rev 22:12), I believe that it is a God-given privilege for the ministries for the ministries and individuals interested in bringing the gospel to the military men and women of every nation in the world to cooperate with one another for the same cause.
"Heavenly Father, we thank you that the Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin. Bless the service men and women of all nations, and grant that we who know the joy of being 'All One in Christ Jesus' may be filled with your love and pass it on to others through the power of the Holy Spirit, until His coming again. Amen"
"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." (2 Corinthians 13:14).
In the love of our Lord,
Lee, Pil Sup
President, AMCF
